Assa Alikhani is an Iranian conceptual artist whose work draws deeply from personal experiences and explores universal human narratives. Working primarily in photography, she integrates elements of music and video to craft thought-provoking stories that delve into identity, memory, and connection. Assa’s artistic journey began at the age of 17, fueled by a passion for storytelling through imagery. Self-taught and professionally trained, her practice reflects a profound curiosity about the world, enriched by her love of travel and her encounters with diverse people and their stories. Her work also includes a series of projects inspired by exploring abandoned places—spaces that echo her own personal experiences and serve as poignant backdrops for storytelling. While two of these projects are complete, her exploration of abandoned sites continues, laying the groundwork for future narratives. Through her conceptual lens, she invites viewers to reflect on the beauty and complexity of shared human experiences.
